April 2023 – Photo Contest Display – $1,134.
Congratulations to our newest Grant Recipient, TECC and the Elfin Forest Interpretive Center.
The Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve (EFRR) hosts an annual amateur photo contest. The contest has many categories including animals, plants, scenic view, water scenery, and youth. The winner of each category will receive a prize donated by multiple community sponsors and have their photo printed up to 36’x48′ to be displayed inside of the Interpretive Center from May to December 2023. We are asking for the funds to have each category’s winner professionally printed to properly display their art for the entire community to enjoy as they visit the reserve.
The center had already received $1,000.00 from the San Marcos Community Foundation to fund this Photo Contest. We provided the balance of funds needed to professionally print the category winners’ photos for display in the Elfin Forest Interpretive Center.
