The Keepin’ It Rural 5K/10K Trail Race and Hike is the Town Council’s once-a-year chance to put a few hundred people on the trail system and talk about the community they are running through. Events this size fail on insurance, timing, and portapotties before they fail on spirit. The Foundation underwrote $2,500 so the 2019 race could happen. The ethos in the name is the same one in our charter.
What the community got
An annual run/hike/festival that raises money and reminds the valley why the rural plan exists — on the same trails the Foundation helps maintain.
