The Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve hosts an annual amateur photo contest with categories for animals, plants, scenic views, water, and youth. The Foundation funded the 2023 display so winning work could hang in the Interpretive Center rather than live only on a hard drive. That is a small check with a wide audience: hikers, school groups, and anyone who stops at the Hubbell-designed building on the way to the trails. The Conservancy and Reserve staff already run the contest. We paid for the part the public sees.
What the community got
A public exhibit of neighbor photography in the Susan J. Varty Interpretive Center, used by families and school groups who visit the Recreational Reserve.
