Before this grant, the Fire Safe Council had no dedicated site. Neighbors looking for chipping days, defensible-space guidance, or a way to write the Council had to hunt. The October 2022 award paid for development of efhgfsc.org, community email, and a Facebook link. Fire work only works if people hear about it. This was a communications grant, not a truck grant, and it is still the Council’s front door.
What the community got
A public website (efhgfsc.org) with email, linked from Facebook, that the Council still uses to talk to Elfin Forest and Harmony Grove about fire.
